An Intimate Wedding in Carmel California
Tim and Lauren’s love story began in 2014 when they crossed paths while she was a resident playwright in South Carolina. Their journey together has taken them on a theatrical adventure spanning multiple states, including South Carolina, Texas, Arkansas, and their current home in Los Angeles. The turning point in their relationship came when Tim proposed on the closing day of a show. They were hiking in the scenic beauty of Asheville, North Carolina. When it came time for their wedding in Carmel, California, their vision was to create a weekend of joy and connection for their families, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.
A LAID-BACK COASTAL WEDDING IN CARMEL, CALIFORNIA
Tim’s brother, Matt, took on the role of officiant. Matt went the extra mile by conducting interviews with each of the parents to discover what they admired about the spouse who wasn’t their own child. This added a special touch to their wedding. One of the standout memories was the singalongs in the cozy common area of the cottages. The shared love for music brought their families together. Another unforgettable highlight was the elegant wedding dinner at Grasing’s, where toasts extended for 45 minutes. There were contributions from everyone in attendance. Their intimate celebration was centered around family, and close friends. Everyone gathered at the Carmel Forest Lodge for the entire weekend.
Their wedding was very DIY. On the day of the wedding in Carmel, Lauren purchased her cowboy boots, realizing she would be hiking to their chosen wedding spot. Tim’s suit was from Suitsupply, and their wedding florals were from Burst + Bloom. Lauren’s wedding attire, including her dress, shawl, headband, and earrings, were all from Etsy. She even handled her makeup and hair! Lauren’s ruby and diamond ring is a treasured antique, while Tim’s ring comes from Holden.
