With towering redwoods, golden summer light filtering through the trees, and the river flowing nearby, Mallory and Dan’s Big Sur Glen Oaks wedding was simple, intentional, and deeply connected to the world around them.

Mallory and Dan’s story began in April 2020, at the height of the pandemic. They connected on Hinge, their conversations stretching into daily texts and five to six-hour FaceTime calls. Two weeks in, they finally decided to meet in person, masked up as they walked through the neighborhood. This then turned into hours of effortless conversation on Mallory’s rooftop. Four months in, they exchanged their first “I love yous,” and in May 2023, Dan proposed. One year later, they found themselves standing beneath the redwoods of Big Sur, ready to begin their next chapter together.

Before the ceremony, Mallory and Dan took the time to step away, just the two. They read their private vows on the cliffs with the Pacific stretching behind them. It was a moment to breathe, to let it all sink in. Then, they headed back hand in hand—ready to make it official.

Mallory and Dan stepped right out of their cabin into a ceremony space tucked under massive redwoods, with the river moving in the background. With their closest people gathered around, they exchanged vows—this time, the ones everyone could hear.
